Tackling dementia is one of the key healthcare challenges of our generation.

That’s why I helped co-ordinate the first ever G8 Dementia Summit in the last Parliament, championed ‘parity of esteem’ for mental health when serving as a Health Minister, and campaigned to make Norfolk the first Dementia-friendly county in the UK.

The decision by South Norfolk CCG to suddenly pull the funding for the Admiral Nurse Service is very concerning. I am liaising closely with local patient groups to bring pressure onto South Norfolk CCG to get this decision overturned.

Supporting those suffering from dementia is one of my central missions in politics. Rest assured, I will continue the fight on behalf of patients over the coming weeks and months.
