Norfolk Churches Trust Bike Ride

Norfolk has more medieval churches than anywhere else in the world and they all require upkeep and maintenance.

That’s why the brilliant Norfolk Churches Trust are so active with their fundraising – to protect and maintain these wonderful historic buildings so that we, and future generations, can continue to enjoy, and learn about, them.

This year, the Trust are hosting their annual bike ride once again – on 10th September.

Since starting the first Bike Ride in 1983, more than £4 million has been raised, with 711 people raising over £130,156 last year alone! A tremendous achievement – and one we all hope to see surpassed again this year!

The majority of churches in the county will be open on the day and the idea is to visit as many of them as possible to show your support and take part in the events they will be hosting – preferably by bike, but anyone can get involved no matter what their method of transport.

There is a photography competition on the day and the winners will receive a £50 prize and be sent to the EDP.
