Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust - Update

Further to the meeting I joined last month with fellow parliamentary colleagues in Norfolk and Suffolk, as well as the Minister for Care and Mental Health, I was pleased to be represented on another such call yesterday – to hear more about the work that is being done to try and ensure our region gets the improved mental health services patients (and their families) desperately need and deserve.

A Review is underway to assess the state of mental health at all levels in the region, particularly at the Trust, with a view to exploring what long term solutions need to be implemented. However, a package of shorter term improvements are also being rolled out and, rest assured, I will follow progress closely.

Mental health is an issue extremely close to my own heart and I remain committed to doing all I can to work with my fellow MPs and the Minister to continue our collective efforts to properly deliver improvements.
