A47 at Scarning

2nd October 2017

I was sad to see yet another fatal accident on a part of the A47 near to Dereham still to be improved. Tragically, it has brought attention once again to this stretch of road, which has already claimed too many lives.

That’s why I brought the Prime Minister to Dereham to announce the £300M to dual the Dereham to Norwich section and it’s clear this work must start. Fast.

But this tragedy highlights, again, that the section from Dereham to Swaffham must be improved and I will be working with my fellow MPs and the relevant the parties including the Highways Agency to ensure it happens as soon as possible.
