Dereham aid to Ukraine

As I continue to follow the tremendous acts of generosity coming from Mid Norfolk as local people and businesses show their support for Ukraine, I am happy to hear that, after numerous obstacles, the two truck drivers that left Dereham last week on their journey to Moldova, which borders Ukraine to the south-east, have now completed their journey and delivered two lorries worth of essential supplies for those fleeing the Russian invasion.

This Herculean effort by Dereham and the surrounding area is an example of the great character of the people of Norfolk, and that no matter the issue, they will rise to meet the challenge. Paul, Ian, and the team have already achieved much in their humanitarian aid to Ukraine and continue to be a shining example of what defines our county as unique in character and in action.

Rest assured, I continue to support the efforts of the local community however I can.
