Unveiling of Rail Manifesto at Attleborough station

In order to develop our local economy and promote local businesses and opportunities for the next generation we need to be connected to the rest of the world and rail links are key to that.

If we link Norfolk and Cambridge together, we have the potential to become a hub of innovation capable of spearheading sustainable economic growth in the UK, but we can’t build a 21st century innovation economy on 19th century infrastructure.

That is why since 2007 I have been campaigning for upgrades on the Norwich to Cambridge rail link and was delighted to unveil my Rail Manifesto and Consultation, alongside Ann Steward and Graham Plant from Norfolk County Council at Attleborough station.

It is essential that we continue to invest in rural infrastructure and that the local community has a voice in this process.
