Delivering 21st-century healthcare

This afternoon I delivered the keynote speech at the Digital Health Forum Conference on how technology will transform 21st-century healthcare.
I spoke about the way in which medicine is moving from being something done to us by Government, to something we increasingly do for ourselves.
I also lauded today’s announcement from the Health Secretary with the launch of a new website measuring patient safety. As my Ten Minute Rule Bill – now, I am pleased to announce, adopted as a Private Members’ Bill by Jeremy Lefroy – sets out, I believe data and integrated records are the key force for making the NHS safer and more transparent.
