MPs discuss East Anglian rail

On Tuesday George joined Eastern Region MPs to meet with bosses from Abellio, to find out more about the vision for the Greater Anglia Franchise. The Dutch company takes over from National Express East Anglia in February and together the politicians called for assurances that they will be sure to see improvements.

George raised In particular the fears for the closure of Wymondham station and was pleased to be reassured that the station will not close and that Abellio have room within their budget for a package of station upgrades and refurbishments. He will be continuing to campaign for Wymondham station and Eastern rail in Parliament and monitoring the developments at Abellio.
