George Freeman celebrates success of this year’s Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme in Dereham

27th September 2012

I am always delighted to support the Tesco for Schools and Clubs Scheme. This year in its 20th anniversary, four of our local schools will once again receive some fantastic new equipment and I joined them at Dereham Tesco Extra last Friday to celebrate.

The range of equipment that last year’s scheme was able to give was very impressive. This year’s equipment, if the children and their teachers have been inspired by the London Olympic and Paralympic Games as I have, will no doubt be sport related! Wouldn’t it be great if this scheme helps to nurture the talent of the next generation of Norfolk gold medal winners?

Kate Revill, the Personnel Manager at Dereham Tesco Extra gave credit to the thousands of customers who have contributed vouchers to the scheme this year and of what can be achieved ‘when a whole community gets involved’. I couldn’t agree more.
